MEP Engineer in Manama

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced MEP Engineer to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate must be currently available in Bahrain and able to join immediately. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, with experience in construction projects from planning and execution through testing and commissioning. The MEP Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all MEP works are completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and supervise all MEP activities on construction projects.

Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth execution of MEP works.

Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, and project timelines.

Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.

Conduct inspections to ensure proper installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support during project execution.

Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

Monitor material requirements, procurement schedules, and resource allocation.

Ensure compliance with Bahrain regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards.

Prepare progress reports, site documentation, and project updates for management.

Requirements

Currently available in Bahrain.

Immediate joiner.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience as an MEP Engineer in construction or building projects.

Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building services systems.

Experience reviewing shop drawings, coordinating site activities, and managing subcontractors.

Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and quality assurance procedures.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software; experience with Revit or BIM is an advantage.

Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

Familiarity with Bahrain building codes and construction regulations.

Knowledge of international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, or relevant MEP codes.

Health and safety certification (OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) is an advantage.

Valid Bahrain driving licence is preferred.
